Sweet and Low

2001

CD - $20 plus $5 postage and handling

With music ranging from the sixteenth to the twenty-first centuries, the collection captures the spirit of one of this country's most talented choirs. They are equally at home singing sacred music by Josquin, folk song arrangements by Vaughan Williams or Shaw & Parker, or thought-provoking works from the here and now. A goodly proportion of the new CD is devoted to light-hearted pieces, but works like Britten's Ballad of Little Musgrave and Lady Barnard, Kurt Bestor's Prayer of the Children or Randall Thompson's The Last Words of David provide quiche for the questing soul.
